Plan B
A good financial scenario but not for the M. chitwoodi infestation
Growing of the Innovator cultivar directly resulted in a good suppression of the pallida infestation. This means that yield loss caused by this nematode is very small. The cultivation of winter wheat, followed by white mustard as green manure crop results in an increase in the P. penetrans population as well as that of M. chitwoodi. Yield loss in potato cultivation of 2014 is not too serious because the cultivation of sugar beet in 2013 reduced the P. penetrans population again, but not enough to prevent yield depression completely.
