Growing of the Innovator cultivar directly resulted in a good suppression of the pallida infestation. This means that yield loss caused by this nematode is very small. The cultivation of spring barley, followed by white mustard as green manure crop, results in a strong increase in the P. penetrans population causing considerable yield loss in potato cultivation in 2014.
