You may no longer grow seed potatoes on this field. As of 2010 you may only resample after 6 years or 3 years after a control measure. You must also have samples taken with a more intensive method (1500 ml/ha), which reduces the chance of a PCN-free status being awarded.

The chance of detection considerably increases after each crop of Bintje with the - in certain cases permitted - statutory method of 600 ml/ha. The detection chance in 2015 is still more than 60% and with the now compulsory method of 1500 ml/ha even 90%.
