You may no longer grow seed potatoes on this field. As of 2010 you may only resample after 6 years or 3 years after a control measure. You must also have samples taken with a more intensive method (1500 ml/ha), which reduces the chance of a PCN-free status being awarded.

The chance of detection strongly increases after each crop of Bintje with the - in certain cases permitted - statutory 600 ml/ha method. The detection chance is more than 80% in 2015 and with the now compulsory method of 1500 ml/ha even almost 100%.
